Seven Sorrows' Biography
Founded in July 2003 after the National Catholic Family Conference, this 4-piece Southern California band has made quite a name for themselves in such a short time (2 years). They are consecrated to both the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of our blessed mother, Mary, so that they may better follow the will of God. They have discerned that it is not God's will for them to charge for their music and services; click here to see why. By God's graces and donations, they have been able to give away over 4,000 CDs, 40 shows, countless song downloads, rosaries, brochures and prayer cards. In June of 2005, Dan (original singer/guitarist) left the band. Unable to find permanent members, Seven Sorrows has since been on hiatus.
Some people are under the false impression that there is something morally wrong with rock music, but "There are no dogmas in temporal matters. It is not in keeping with man's dignity to try to lay down absolute truths in questions which each person necessarily has to look at from his own point of view, according to his own interests, his cultural preferences and his own particular experience. Any attempt to impose dogmas in temporal matters leads, inevitably, to abusing other people's consciences, to not respecting one's neighbor." (Music and Morals - Basil Cole, OP)
